Long before I began working on websites I was primarily a fly fishing guide in the Roaring Fork Valley. I have spent untold hours guiding or fishing the Frying Pan River, Roaring Fork River, Colorado River, and the Crystal River.
I am available during summer months, usually June through September, for flyfishing guide trips either wading or float trips. I can be available for trips at other times of the year but require advance notice.
I normally recommend a float trip for most anglers, novice or experienced, as long as the rivers are fishable. I feel it is the best way to access miles of river as opposed to a few 'spots'. If the lower Roaring fork is muddy (or 'blown out') I will let you know and we can usually fish above Carbondale on a wade trip.
I book all my trips through Roaring Fork Anglers in Glenwood Springs and Alpine Angling in Carbondale. This gives me the ability to use their access permits to the local waters and the abilility to book the BarZX and other private water in the area.
